A report presented on behalf of the above-named Province to Antonio Pedro de Echevers y Suvisa, Captain General of Guatemala, describing the services rendered by the Dominicans in Guatemala both to the Crown and to the Indians. It stresses the poverty of the various monasteries, and protests, in the name of the Dominicans and the Mercedarians, against the threatened discontinuance of royal contributions.
